When He Breathes...

I decided to write a short critique about this drawing and the shading and maybe colors in it. One of the things I will say is, while lower it gets, darker it gets. I have seen that you only shade the corners, but you should also shade the lower areas of the dragon. Also, the face should be a -little- more light up due to the fire it is breathing, otherwise, I'll say this is FANTASTIC! Very nice coloring and color blending. The scheme is filled with originality!

Very good job! Also, maybe you should reduce the lighting around the fire, most dragons fire doesn't light up as much. The lighter part would come around the borders of the fire it is breathing. And just one last thing about this dragon, the tounge never shows when breathing fire! I just discovered that some days ago :S! I am mostly a dragon freak and know a lot of facts about dragons. Otherwise, the fire is GREAT, I might not even be able to draw a fire that great :S! Congratulations on your coloring skills! They are great!

The sparkling in the eye is great, making it look like the fire is reflecting on the dragon's eye! I love that! The colors you have chosen are very original, and I would rate this, out of ten, a 9! It's fantastic! There's a little shading missing inside the mouth, maybe making the teeth at the back a little darker and the mouth at the really back of the jaw just a tinni tiny bit darker. Otherwise, the mouth looks great! Liking the sharp teeth there. Great job!
